Birding
- There are numerous opportunities for bird enthusiasts to enjoy birding in the Auburn area. With almost 30 parks of varying degree of development, there are trails and river walks, where such rare birds as Greater Yellowlegs, Merlins, Northern Harriers, Peregrine Falcons and Wilson’s Snipes can be seen:
- Auburn Environmental Park, between West Main Street & 15th Street NW, Auburn, 253-931-3090 The first section of this dedicated environmental park, endorsed by Rainier Audubon Society, opened within walking distance of downtown in April 2007. Over 800 native trees and shrubs have been planted and visitors will enjoy nature walks and great bird watching when the whole park is completed.

Bocce Courts at Les Gove Park
- Bocce is a precision sport closely related to lawn bowling. Played by all ages, it is very popular throughout the United States. It is one of the fastest growing sports and sharpens the reflexes as well as promotes good fellowship among players. Bocce equipment is available at the Parks, Arts & Recreation Offices, 910 Ninth Street SE, during normal business hours. In 2007, free Bocce instruction is provided by the Auburn Bocce Club on Tuesdays & Thursdays, April 17 through October 18, 2007 from 2-5 p.m. No instruction if there is adverse weather.
Disc Golf at Game Farm Wilderness Park

This free 18-hole disc golf course is open for play year-round. Check with Mando's Disc Golf Store for the group/association information.

The Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center is a legacy venue of the 1990 Seattle Goodwill Games. It is home to national and international swimming and diving events. The facility maintains one of the most active competition schedules in the country hosting more than 50 events annually. It has been the site of Olympic Trials, top national and international competitions, and the Pacific Northwest's premiere events. In addition to swimming and diving events, the Aquatic Center is open to the public for lap swims, family swims, swimming lessons and more.
